Workshops for adults
I create explorative spaces where adults can question and ‘un-learn’ social scripts, become playful and reflective, and connect more authentically with themselves and others. These tend to be based around art and dance, generally held as part of festivals or community events.
Previously
-
A participatory and creative workshop where we will be engaging with feminist texts to explore how we love, care and relate beyond normative structures .
-
Using 'theatre of the oppressed' techniques, we work through a series of playful yet powerful exercises to build empathy and connection, explore socialisation and oppression, and develop a sense of collective agency.
-
Open to all especially if you 'can't dance' and 'have no rhythm'. A guided movement workshop, reconnecting you to your body, supporting you to let go of inhibitions, learn hacks for the dancefloor, and help you move in a ways that feels good!
-
A guided movement meditation practice, followed by sketching/drawing and optional sharing. Drop into deeper connection and presence with the natural world around and within.
-
This fun and inclusive workshop uses simple partner dance exercises to develop participants’ communication skills and boundary setting, queering what we mean by ‘power’ and disrupting gendered lead and follow dynamics.
Through the workshop we explore: How might we listen when we lead? How can we develop agency whilst we follow? How can we adapt to others whilst remaining authentic?

This workshop for parents of teenagers considers how social media and digital technology affect self-esteem, wellbeing and relationships. It seeks to create a bridge between young people’s experiences and their parents’ worries. Based on research with focus groups of 10-16 year olds, this workshop gives parents an opportunity to gain new insights, share their concerns, develop strategies in relation to their children's relationship to digital technology, and gain confidence in talking to them about social media, cyberbullying, porn, sexting and more.

The session exceeded my expectations and I’ve learnt so much. A great bridge between my world and my kids.

Amazing opening experience, that felt relaxing and with no pressure, seeing people as people rather than the usual categories, feeling I could be myself.

Really interesting, nice to question and problematise my own ideas about love and relationships, felt like an un-judgemental and creative space. Your research is so interesting.
